I was never A Jesse Jackson fan. On attorneys I'm a moderate. I dont believe in low caps the way the GOP does (which would all but keep people from suing for malpractice even if they're maimed for life) but I think frivolous lawsuits ought to be aggressively thrown out. As for lawyers being Democrats, I think that's only because the GOP has sided with big corporations to try and put the lawyers out of business. Plenty of lawyers are Republicans.
