Happy Fourth to you... ...may we all have our civil liberties intact next year!! I'll be thankful if it doesn't get much worse. I can't imagine it getting any better over the next year. I'm sure you've seen the words from Bush on how the US is a leader in human rights.....along with keeping persons detained for over 500 days without any charges and now approving military tribunals for six persons [first US tribunals since WWII] where the defendent won't be allowed to hear the evidence against him. Keeping all those folks in Guantanamo in oversized dog kennels...how long now? Or turning prisoners over to countries that are more "agressive" in their interrogation techniques. Real human rights "leadership" as the conservatives would say. jttmab
