Hey, if you are a liberal City Councilman that wants to be "in" at the local Art gatherings, what better way? And it deflects criticism from your failure to take care of local problems, like your potholes and your miserable trash collection.

I remember when you just weren't 'with it' as a beach town in California unless you had a Foreign Policy. All the complaints about the Patriot Act are really about how they treat immigrants.

If these towns want to do something about real civil right's violations, they should pass resolutions against the enactment of "speech codes" at their local Colleges.
