Interesting. My impression is that Dean can develop into a pretty dangerous opponent. He talks liberal, but his policies have been centrist and will be emphasized, if he gets the nomination. Being an MD is a huge plus. MDs are among the few professions still widely respected by the populace. He is using the Internet to raise a sh*tload of money -- average contribution $62. Finally, obscure fresh-faced governors have a pretty good record defeating incumbent presidents when they get a chance to run.

If Iraq goes badly, Dean will have an excellent chance defeating Bush, being the only Democrat that was openly anti-war, especially if the economy is so-so. That's why I am puzzled by the reluctance of this administration to do everything it can to fix Iraq.

That Rove guy seems to think he can walk on water. He ought to know that head to head polls right now mean nothing. This administration has a surfeit of hybris.
