Why is that? Are women not brave enough, patriotic enough, American enough to want to serve their country? Are they less worthy? No one wants any of our troops to pay the ultimate price, but they do; that is just how it is.

And picking out a single news source as grabbing onto the Lynch 'hero' story is wrong; nearly every one played up that angle (FOX *very* prominately played up the hero angle, again in a cynical attempt to 'out patriotize' other news sources).

Boy, this person needs to realize that attitudes towards what women "can and can't do" have changed since this was written (probably around 1946)...
