The same arguments you make against homosexuality were made against minorities. 'Mongrelization' was feared because minorities were inferior, both physically and morally. The same intolerance that held blacks and other minorities as second-class citizens is now being directed at homosexuals by, get this, our 'Christian'-based churches.

These Christians simply cannot get past the point that since homosexuality is abhorrent to them, it must be abhorrent to everyone. It is certainly not to homosexuals; they feel as natural in establishing a lifelong relationship with a same sex partner as heterosexuals do with different sex partners. Many hold the same values for family, church, country, and our children. Many have their own children or adopt children to raise as their own, some choosing to adopt children that were considered 'unadoptable'. Many want to participate in normal, common, everyday events, like going to church, having their children play sports, etc. The only difference for many is that they have entered into a relationship with someone of the same sex.

The true degradation of our culture is when tolerance is shunned, freedoms are stripped, and we move back towards the old days of prejudice and hate.
