The author argues that women are not fit to be combat pilots, because a female aviator died through her own error. But, this happens all the time with male aviators; should we ban men from being pilots because some of them make mistakes?

No, I believe the author would like to see all women removed from the military, based on that example. Thanks goodness that sort of thinking has expired like a quart of spoiled milk.
