I am no expert on group health plans. Maybe someone can help me look at the prospects for privatizing Medicare.

First, can someone explain how group health plans are successful? Where does a group health plan obtain funds to pay for those needing a higher rate of health care than the overall group?

Second, could someone define the group that is covered by Medicare?

Third, do the people covered by Medicare use prescription drugs and other health care at a higher degree than other groups?

Fourth, how would the Medicare group's premiums compare to other groups' premiums?

Finally, Should we expect the health insurance industry rush to insure the Medicare group?
