Excuses, excuses, excuses. Can you even spell F_A_I_L_U_R_E, John? The DC school system is a failure. The money argument was made years ago. The Feds started feeding the local DC school system with federal tax revenues and it is still a failure. DC loses more kids to crime and drugs than just about every other city in America..In fact it may be the worst. Your consistent argument that schools need more money has been proven wrong. LB had it right...Much of the extra money is fed to teachers... not to improve the system. The schools will improve when teachers are held responsible for results. That administrator needs to be fired for sucking up to the unions instead of being a leader and setting standards and demanding results. The first thing that should be eliminated is tenure. Then slots would open as we fired incompetence...and we could begin to hire better teachers. uw
