rails99, on CHN and other closed ends..

Looks like the foreign markets are pretty hot overnight...with ours likely to follow at least at the opening.

CHN has been a leader in the closed end tracking of Chinese equities....currently is trading at a 20% premium to NAV....I'm out currently having worked an exit about 10 cents off the recent highs with a day trade Thursday....

Others of a similar ilk but without the premium are TDF and TCH...mixes of Chinese, HK and Taiwanese shares.

JOF, small cap Japanese tracker which like CHN has had quite the newsletter hype and tout is out at a 33% premium to NAV....still own that one but look to sell....that's just too rich.

TTF - Thailand Fund which has done well too as only a 8% premium....Thai market was one of the few down in Asia, Monday after a higher start.

Drilling around for other ideas, foreign, I heard that the #1 telecom company in India (VSL) was mentioned as a pick on Fox's "Cash-In". It's in a powerful uptrend, look to get my toes wet there at $5.60... You can find more data about the company on Yahoo by putting in the symbol VSNL.bo. (When doing the conversion remember about 46 Rupee to the dollar and it seems there are 2 Us shares for each Indian....hence the $5.60 price) Shares in India had a big spike in volume in the last hour just about the time the re aire of the program mentioned above was reaired world wide.

Recently after a 50% gain the shares have been going sideways...
finance.yahoo.com

C A R E in big type is in order for these things, especially with these premiums...
