Yahoo 2Q Upside Likely

Yahoo (YHOO) is set to report a strong 2Q Wednesday, likely exceeding First Call estimates of 8 cents EPS on $315 million revenue, says First Albany analyst Youssef Squali. He sees particular upside potential in renewed sales of "branded" advertising, such as banner ads. "While the stock is expensive by most measures, it continues to benefit from the potential for upside earnings revision, from a rebound in online advertising and from the scarcity value of large, well-run Internet names," he says. YHOO up 2.5% at $35.60.
