Sorry, but some people had warned about this "unintended consequence" before the war started. Iraq is sliding into anarchy, and some people had foreseen this.

And to give credit where it is due, George HW Bush had foreseen this as well. That is why he didn't "finish" Saddam Hussein after Gulf War I.
