There are a lot of shortbusting moves today. And with "everyone" thinking that this is a last move up before a retracement, I wonder if a lot of shorts are still holding on... or if we'll get a final boost of short covering.

I note the VIX up today. Odd. Put call benign. But then I also flash over to July 5th of last year... the endgame of that rally. Could it repeat? Seems different this year.

Non-tech really is lagging here, though, in terms of taking out old highs. AJ's happy family idea means they'll come through soon.

I have been pricing some OCT puts today (many of which have gone down in price much more than the underlying movement/vix movement woulda made me suspect). Anyone got any favorites for leading the down? I think it'll be the usual suspects (banks, bios, and semis), but I do know I don't wanna be too early.
