OT

I was able to share files between W98 and XP and between W2000 and XP. I was able to share a printer between w2000 and XP. W98 has a screen to enter a common network name. That screen is part of the process to set up networking on W98. I upgraded the old laptop from W98 to XP, so I can't be more specific.
