LONDON, Jul 07, 2003 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via Comtex/ -- ABB, a leading Swiss manufacturer of power and automation technologies, has signed an agreement to market Tellabs' state-of-the-art managed transport and optical networking equipment to power and utility companies worldwide. Tellabs products help these companies and telecommunications service providers to cost-effectively collect and aggregate voice and data traffic in access and transport networks.
Through the agreement, ABB will provide power and utility companies around the world with the Tellabs(R) 6300 managed transport system and the Tellabs(R) 7200 optical transport system. Tellabs' solutions will enable ABB to design flexible telecommunication networks carrying voice and high-speed data traffic.
