More people were killed in Mississippi today than in Iraq. Terrorists and murderers are everywhere.

At least six people were killed and several others injured when a gunman opened fire on employees working at a military aircraft factory in the southern U.S. State of Mississippi.

Law enforcement authorities say a lone gunman opened fire on his fellow employees at a Lockheed Martin plant in the city of Meridian, Mississippi.

The plant employs more than 120 workers who assemble giant Hercules C-130 aircraft as well as other military aircraft.

The gunman's motives for killing his fellow workers are unknown. Witnesses say after walking through the plant shooting his co-workers, the gunman killed himself before police arrived on the scene.

Local officials say the site is now secure and their attention has shifted to helping families of those killed and wounded.

Law enforcement authorities say the shootings appear to be result of personal grievances held by the gunman, and there is no evidence the shootings are terrorist-related.
