Dean cannot beat Bush but Kerry cab. The Karl Rove GOP is licking their chops over the prospect of Dean perhaps mounting a challenge for the nomination. They cannot turn Kerry into Duakis because he is a silver star winning war hero, but they sure can with Dean. But Dean wont even get the nomination, and here's why. Dean has the anti-war left vote pretty much to himself. Kerry, who already has a nice lead over Dean in New Hampshire, shares the centrist vote with four other big name guys. But once those other four drop out, they'll all endorse Kerry. So will the Clintons and Gore. So you see Dean really doesn't have a chance despite his recent surge. He just represents one wing of the Dem party, the anti-war wing, which is no more than 20% of the country in post 9-11 America.
