The Methodist church has Bishops and other leaders. It's a small world. They also work with leaders of other protestant denominations, Catholics and Orthodox Christians. There is a World Council Of Churches. And it is a very liberal body. More liberal than the UN. And it represents the vast majority of christians on this planet.

So you see, when we say right-wing Christian, that's all we mean. Most church members are not right-wing. And many peace marchers were Christian pacifists. One reason the right-wing is so wrong to be calling peace marchers "evil" the way Horowitz and Savage did.

I have urged John Kerry's people to reach out to the moderate and liberal churches, because most of them are anti-Bush. The right-wing churches just make all the noise and politically organize. Frankly, I dont even think churches should become political party offshoots, but if the right-wing is doing it then others should too. Including Bush's own church, the Methodists. Who were anti Iraq war despite their most famous member.
