My interest in immigration is limited to refugees who have supported US Special Forces combat OPS.

unclewest,

Although I'm opposed to mass immigration, I do strongly support bringing in people who are in difficulties because they have stuck their necks out for us. I met some Hmong tribe people who were settled into a college town where I was living. They were very nice friendly folks. Some have had difficulty adjusting to the radically different way of life here, though many have done well too. Good Luck.

I think there are some real security issues in the "non-immigrant" programs for professionals that I mentioned. For example, when they did a random spot check of 10 people brought in by small Chinese businesses they found that 8 of the 10 were fraudulent - people smuggling. They said this was less of a problem with Russians, because most of the abusers of the program were gangsters, and Russian gangsters usually have a connection with a major Russian corporation.
