I just noticed the 10 day course that is required for Vipassana.

It seems like it would be a good vacation or retreat but
the ten days in a row seems a bit demanding to be away from
home.

What was your experience like?
Was it difficult to not be able to talk for 10 days?

I would probably welcome it. Especially if I could break
my old habits and the negative way my mind is wired, in
exchange for it.

It just seems a bit difficult to be away from the family
for that length of time.

Everything else on the list seems like it is something that
I could do.

I suppose enlightenment comes at a cost... <g> <ng>

Speaking of cost, I notice that they don't ask for any
money up front but accept donations from those who feel
they have benefitted from it. Do they put any pressure on
you to donate or is it really at your own free will?
