No one is saying that we should get rid of the constitution, in fact I think our country should follow it close then we do.

Jim's point is more about how certain liberal groups claim the constitution as supporting their case when it does not. The 1st amendment would support the right of an artist to create work that most people would think of as offensive. It doesn't however mean that the government has an obligation to user public funds to pay for or display the work.
