We are arguing at cross purposes here...my original post was to call Bremer on his faulty definition of democracy. While you keep pointing at the dictionary definition of "democracy", Bremer is trying to remake a large country from scratch. If it is necessary for him to exclude Ba'athists from the government, and by your avoidance of the question I presume you agree that it is necessary, he very rightly must keep saying that he is doing this for democracy, as the first step towards democracy, in the cause of building Iraq for the Iraqis. Words don't have the same implication in Bremer's mouth as in your private definitions. Stop staring at this one tree and look at the forest.
