Yes, yes, Rascal, you don't have to arrest UN inspectors to get rid of them. You just make it impossible for them to do their jobs so they leave of their own accord. Reasonable people will still call this "throwing out the UN inspectors".

Why have you and Shilohcat become such pedants all of a sudden?

As for Scott Ritter, sheesh, he has been discussed ad nauseum on this thread, including his abrupt volte face - Saddam was a menace with WMDs in 1999, then suddenly he was no menace at all in 2001 - and the $400,000 he received from an Iraqi businessman with ties to the regime for "making a documentary". Go google him, you'll find it all. His Frontline interview in 1999 makes a particularly interesting contrast with his later story, especially as no inspections at all had ocurred in between.
