Don,
I don't know if you've reviewed this part of the evidence before, so I'll toss this out to you and see what your opinion might be, and hopefully see if you have any corroborating evidence on the controversy surrounding the attack on the Pentagon.
Here's the link:

Please scroll down to photo #7 in the series. The caption reads: However the following photo shows a landing gear found inside C-ring near the punchout hole. Note how completely charred the rest of the debris was.
Take a good look at the configuration of the gear. From the angle we are looking at it, one axle clearly appears at the bottom left. One might assume from the remaining assembly at the top of the gear that a second axle may potentially have been sheared off the assembly. There is no indication from this image that this is a dual axle (four wheeled) assembly. Note further that this is not a suitable forensic picture, in that no effort was made by the photographer to provide any scale to this image. It is impossible to determine from the information presented the actual dimensions of this assembly.
Now move down to image #10, the photo labeled: Compare the following closeup of a 757 landing gear:
When you look at this image, not that the axles of the landing gear are offset from the central shaft of the gear. Note further that the while the assembly in photo #7 appears to be a simple affair with wheel attachment as a simple knuckle off of a central cylindrical shaft, that in photo #10, there is no such knuckle assembly, and that the support structure up to the wing is not a simple cylindrical assembly, but rather an entirely more complicated and articulated assembly of complexly sculpted parts.
************* I think that if you bother to print out images #7 and #10 and compare them side by side, you'll agree with me that they are not the same parts, at all.
************ Here is even more damning evidence that Pentagon was attacked by something other than a Boeing 757. THIS IS CRUCIAL EVIDENCE, and I have only now spotted this anomaly.
Take a look at photo #9, labeled: In the heap of debris next to the hole lies an airliner wheel hub from one of the landing gears (as shown on TLC's "Pentagon Under Fire," aired 9/11/02):
Please count the punchouts in the wheel. There are eight of them. Note that they are oval in shape. Then compare that to image #10, the photo of the 757 landing gear. Please count the punchouts in the wheel. There are 10 of them! Now, note the shape of the punchout. It is bullet shaped, not oval. The wheel in the debris at the Pentagon is no match for the 757 wheel!
**************** So let's review here.
1) There are still no photos in the public domain that were done using proper forensic techniques.
2) Images of the interior of the Pentagon provided in the link were taken after unknown quantities of debris had been removed. Completely incompatible with proper crime scene investigation techique.
3) No rulers, measuring tapes or other devices to provide a suitable sense of scale of the various elements of evidence were provided.
4) There is no proper attribution of the photos so that the photographer can be contacted about questions regarding the photos.
In my humble opinion, the anomaly of the landing gears and the wheel is the crux of the controversy. The landing gear in the debris appears to be from a much lighter craft (i.e. one or two axles vs. the four axle assembly of the 757 gear) than a Boeing 757.
