disable System Restore on the whole system to stop it from monitoring the system drive. We have just started using our first digital camera and memory use has exploded. The movies really soak it up and the batteries too. Not just that, but any sort of memory duplication, that is further backed up, means a memory using weed that grows out of control rapidly (exponentially). So I have had to start strictly managing memory use. The XP restore points on multiple drives is a case in point (the default set up always gets me). One of the drives it was monitoring was used to store backup image files. Just look into two parallel mirrors facing each other to see what happens. I had to turn off the lot entirely to clean up the system. I have turned it back on for my system drive where hopefully it will be of some useful help. The restore points are being generated now, just missing the first one, probably some other error I made -g-
