Hi Lindy, IMO if you figure out why items of "Roots" clothing were popular in Australian (and possibly NZ schools) you may understand Mq's post.

If he was making a play on words about NZ slang, he was too clever by half. He did not indicate it was a joke in his post or in his response to my post. I have known Mq for several years, and I was astounded at this comment.

I know Ken, and I have talked to his son since this stroke happened. I am very concerned about him. Nothing about Ken's situation is funny to me.
