So, is your role here to play the "minder"? :)
If I'm a minder of anything, it's the search for the truth, and preventing rumour mongers and conspiratorialists like your ilk from spreading obviously false lies and innuendoes.
There are plenty of possible conspiracies out there in the world Raymond. It's what powerful men (women) do.. They seek power for various reasons.. Some are selfish and some selfless. But most are a mix of both.
But I also believe that few conspiracies go unopposed by the agendas of other groups who have their OWN conspiracies to implement.
What prevents any one group in the US from possessing such absolute power is the separation of powers and a free press full of eager young investigative reporters eager to blow the whistle on any grand conspiracy such as the ones you constantly believe exist.
Look, you can call me a nutter, if that makes you feel like a big man.
Then why not spend more time thinking logically rather than stupidly believing every possible conspiracy theory that comes along which fits WHAT YOU WANT TO BELIEVE.
As for the Kean Commission "logjam", just how much time do you think is required to find the properly cleared personnel to locate, sort, record, copy, and then collate, thousands of sheets of HIGHLY CLASSIFIED material??
Remember, these are people who are ALREADY inundated in sorting hundreds of pages of FRESH INTELLIGENCE each and every day. Such commission requests do not provide the additional personnel required for obtaining this information for their investigation. That means these workers have to do not only do their own daily jobs, but often spend an almost equal amount of time fulfilling commission requests, FOIA requests, taking their summer vacations, and trying to keep from getting divorced.
Why were the Andrew AFB jets never scrambled?
Armed with what? There were no armed aircraft at Andrews AFB that day. They had to order them to be armed and launched. And do you know how long it takes to have missiles shipped from the ammo "igloo" to the aircraft and then be fitted on? We're talking at least 30 minutes, if not an hour, depending on the competency of the armament crew.
Only aircraft at Otis (Massachusetts) and Langley (S. Virginia) were actually armed and on stand-by, if I'm recalling my facts correctly.
Also, if I'm not mistaken, I believe that once the hijacked airliners had turned off their transponders, they were lost to the ATC system. And given that it was a hijacking, any responding commands first impression is that the aircraft will eventually show up as the demands of the hijackers eventually become made known.
After all, this WAS a hijacking, and there had NEVER been a previous instance where there was any anticipation of being required to shoot the aircraft down. That just wasn't done prior to 9/11.
But I do agree that I want to see a more comprehensive analysis of the NORAD reports, detailing the exact chronology of how events transpired.
But one should not immediately assert deliberate conspiracy over the possibility of pure negligence and indecisiveness.
