Kerry makes Bush look like a mental, moral, military and physical midget. I dont see how you could see a relative amateur and life-long slacker front-man like Bush (who went AWOL, was an alcoholic and didn't even work until he was 35) as more qualified than Kerry. Bush can hardly make a intelliable speech without a script and has to be coached on every issue. Kerry is highly respected on both sides of the aisle for being one of most intelligent, articulate and with-it leaders in the Senate. Kerry is also much more bi-partisan than Bush. He can unite not divide. Kerry has been doing his homework for 35 years and getting straight A's. Bush doesn't even read much and probably still doesn't know the names of most world leaders.

Chasing "shadows" of JFK? What does that mean? If John Kerry is anything like JFK as a president then that would be terrific. He could unify the world, get the global economy going again, be strong on defense but smart and honest on it too, fically conservative and progressive at the same time.

But Kerry is his own man. I wouldn't compare him to anyone. In many ways he is the superior of JFK, though not as photogenic (who is?), more of a self-made man and not a skirt-chaser. But yes there are some similarities. Maybe a combination of Honest Abe and JFK with the daredevil war hero element thrown in.

The right-wing may disagree, but boy could we use a JFK type in power now. Not only the best and brightest but the most honest, qualified and unifying.
