KEITH, the die size of the C6 is about half of Intels MMX chip. Smaller die size also makes the yield go up so the production cost per chip could be les than half of Intels, assuming IDT can execute a shrink to 0.25 micron production within 6 months of Intel and AMD.
I don't think IDT will capture more than 5% of general PC market, but set top boxes, notebook computers and PDA's are another story.
BTW, Cyrix/National will be phasing out the M2, one of C6's competitors.

The price of IDT will rise even if they only get 2% of the above markets.
