Yes, the problem with a DB without any knowledge of the data quality is that you can easily make false inferences. However, it is possible to be statistically unusual and still not be a threat to the U.S. Anyone who posts on a thread like this and discussing politics at this level constitutes a statistical fraction of about 1-2% tops. A presumption of guilt by association (through mathematical and probabilistic association in this case) seems to be totally in violation of what most informed people consider essential constitutional rights of presumed innocence. However, our government under current standards allows and encourages such analysis, all in the name of protecting you and me against domestic terrorism. In the past, it has not been criminal to question the integrity of public figures without proof. It used to be criminal for the government to question the innocence of private individuals with out proof. This was the law. I'm not sure what the law is now.
