Also the emerging Iraqi governing council with much wider powers than before suggests that the administration is contemplating disengagement. We are going to disengage sometime anyway, KL. Frankly, I am happy to see us setting up Iraqi Gov now. That will stop the NGO's and other do-gooders from getting a foothold. The oil and democracy will go the way it would have anyway. We can only control the process to a small degree, and keep the Baathists from taking over again by force, if we need to. It couldn't be, could it, that you really don't want to see Bush succeed? :>)
