The pot-pie product launched by Iceland Foods in the UK met with wide
market acceptance and as a result, Iceland has placed a larger repeat order
than originally expected and is preparing for additional product launches.
There was also a successful launch in the US of an enrobed sandwich using
Micro-Rite patch technology, under the Safeway Select label. Also, the
company's efforts in China relating to a Micro-Rite food-sleeve continue
and product orders are in final negotiations.
In addition, Beckett is continuing its efforts with several North American
and European food processors as they conclude their initial product tests
and prepare for additional market tests or product launches using
Micro-Rite.
