Rascal, as you know, Bush was in office from late Jan 01...so was in office for 8 1/2 months before 9-11. There are ample warnings for the previous 10 years about Al Qaeda and other terror groups, and what their plans were. Did you pay attention to them? Did any of us pay attention really? Did we demand of the Clinton Administration they do "something" about these groups.... No. The answer is No. We really didn't. Most of us couldn't even pronounce the names of the terrorists. And on top of that, we couldn't really believe this was an organized group intending us harm.....most of us thought of them as criminals. But then again, taking PERSONAL responsibility for the lack of our attention is something many people don't seem to want to do....They would rather blame someone else, rather than face up to the fact that it was " themselves" they should be calling to task. Bush is not calling for Tenent's resignation. THey are joined at the hip because each knows what the other did or did not do in the run up to 9/11.
