Btw, that wasn't a parking lot surveillance camera. It belonged to the south gate, and was primarily designed to record the faces of personnel entering at that location, NOT objects traveling at high speed.

why weren't TV crews scouring the skies for the plane?

Because Dufus.. No one in the news had figured out that we were REALLY under attack. They originally thought it was a freak accident.

And since none of them knew that 4 planes had been hi-jacked, they rightly assumed the attack was limited to NYC.

I live here in the DC area and I wasn't thinking about an attack occurring here. Who would have thought they have the resources to launch a multi-target, coordinated strike??

And if any target was to be suspected, it would be the White House, or the Capitol.. NOT the Pentagon.
