The problem with your logic is that the "ends" you justify is a fantasy that we are unable to achieve. Also note that the Administration has repeatedly stated that they will not allow Iraq to become an Islamic Republic.

In other words, they only support Democracy when the voting results in them winning.

Carl, the problem with the "realists" who support this war (some of them anyway--the ones who think we did it with a noble goal in mind) is that they think that they can do anything they want as long as they can kill or bribe enough people while they are doing it. If you can imagine it, Ayn Rand once said, you can do it.
