The Brinker Portfolio has to include all these:

VTI
DIA
QQQ
SPY
VOD
MSFT

Otherwise, it has to be one of his sets of mutual funds. I subscribe to the newsletter, by the way, and took the March bulletin very seriously. Thankfully.

I am more interested in his calls on the market direction than in his investment recommendations. I think these four: VTI, DIA, QQQ, SPY probably give me the market direction, and I chose my stocks without Brinker. So I have mostly kept those four index investments, on and off, since March, and haven't stayed with MSFT and VOD, even though they've done okay. I've done better in other stocks.

I wasn't aware of his bear market call in 2000, but later heard about it, so subscribed some months before the March bulletin. He was exactly correct, amazingly correct, about the market bottom and that was worth a lot of money to me. I check his web site daily to be sure he's not calling the end of the cyclical bull.

I'm reading this thread. You're talking about a new board, and I only just found this one. Where's the new one, please?
