Jacob,

I'm in agreement with you. The schemes of the Bushistas are simply anti-democratic and destructive of our civil society.

In fact, this is a willful part of their scheme. Here's the words of Grover Norquist, of the Americans For Tax Reform group:

"We are trying to change the tones in the state capitals -- and turn them toward bitter nastiness and partisanship. Bipartisanship is another name for date rape." --Grover Norquist, quoted in the Denver Post, May 26, 2003

*********
This is a very sick man. Unfortunately, he one of the most powerful of the lobbyists surrounding Bush and attempting to destroy the America we love. Norquist is part of our internal "axis of evil".
