Actually Saddam is anti-Islamic fundamentalism. He fought a war against Iran remember, and persecuted and massacred many Shiites. There is no credible reason to believe he was in league with Al Qaida. He gave $$ to the Palestinians because he hated Israel and for PR in the Arab world. He also attacked Kuwait and wanted to takeover Saudi Arabia, but not to install Islamic fundamentalism. Just the opposite. To be a secular oil and military Emperor. Come to thnk of it, Bush seems to want to be a oil and military emperor himself to a degree, one without clothes I might add.
