I do think it is useful to be *aware* of the intraday price action of a stock, like intraday S&R levels, particularily if you are utiilizing a volitile tool like options that may force you into a shorter term trade of the option. However, I would strictly go by your end of day data and S&R levels in making entry and exit decisions on a stock. This information IMO will have the most relevance to your investment decisions unless you want to start to trade stock which involves timeframes of just a few days or less.

For that matter, since I am using the option as a tool in my longer term investment in the underlying stock, I am also going to stick to EOD data fro my entry and exit decisions. It is just that those intraday price movements are so enticing! This is where it is best to stick to a plan and the methods which work for the timeframe of your investment approach.
