Of course, I don't think he should be censored. But if he wants to get down and dirty he should expect the appropriate response...

I'm glad to hear that you don't think he should be censored but what about all of those impressionable young minds? What should the appropriate response be? Should he be taken off of radio? After all, he has a much bigger audience there than he did on MSNBC.

I'm not being obtuse, I sincerely want to know what punishment is appropriate for someone who says what he thinks?

Herbert Humphrey once said.......none of us would trade freedom of expression and of ideas for the narrowness of the public censor.

In the rush to judgement no one has mentioned that we haven't been able to find anything on what the caller said to Michael Savage that day. And I honestly believe he may have been seriously provoked. Although I personally find his outburst very distasteful I don't like the fact that both sides of the story has been told.

I also don't have any idea who his main core of listeners are, but this middle aged woman listens occasionally, and many of his callers are older men and women. So it seems to me that his audience represents a fairly diverse cross section of the population.
