They failed to tell the public the cost to produce one gallon of the product runs between $1.60 and 2.50 as a subsidy and the energy required to produce it is more than that obtained by its use in automobiles. Ethanol also produces 20% or so less power than gasoline, bringing down the average mileage per automobile and creating its own pollution. Ken
