Larry's remarks about Phil White (then CEO of Informix) who "came to my house demanding the return of his employees" when an entire development group left Informix and joined Oracle, were better. I'm paraphrasing, but Larry's response was something close to "Phil, these are people. They can't just be returned like a set of dishes at Macy's!"

If you're looking for childish behavior by technology CEOs, Larry was on the receiving end (no pun) of the gold standard. A few years ago, the CEO of SAP dropped his pants and mooned Larry as their respective yachts passed each other. Around that time that Larry was racing his yacht and one of the competing boats was sponsored by SAP. Larry won the race, and Oracle issued a press release virtually every day detailing how far behind Larry the SAP boat was.
