This was strongly implied by some of the crew that were on the USS Liberty and went through the attack. They were interviewed on camera for a documentary that I saw. Wish i had taped it. The documentary said the US Government tried to stop them airing the show. And I never saw a repeat either! That was quite a few years ago now. The crewman said there were a lot of "spooks" on board and they were in and out of the communications area. Nobody else was allowed near that section. The show led up to what I said through it's interviews and other facts about what the ship was doing. The ship itself was a spy ship with equipment added on it the crew didn't even know what it was. The mission was strange from the start. And so on. That was the shows assertion.
