North Korea is about as isolated and strange as they come. In almost any war scenario they could make a complete mess out of Seoul. But South Korea is not the "enemy" in their minds. The enemy is Japan. With nukes and missiles they can take out Tokyo in a flash. They can also take out our troops in Japan. And our troops in South Korea. Madness? Yes sir. But when Bush did his truly stupid "axis of evil" speech, North Korea put the gas pedal to the floor on their nuke program. The aftermath is the price we pay for having somebody who could, most charitably be called "stupid" in the White House.
