As far as I know at this time, that is correct. Most status codes are going to be 3 characters starting with a "V". Those accounts are the easy ones. They're either paid Lifetime accounts or are grandfathered and those accounts will still be honored.

CMP is also an easy one. Complementary (sp?). Those are accounts that were set up for free as Lifetime accounts back when SI had the programming glitch that had it displaying loginID's rather than aliases.

I'm still not clear on some of the other status codes. NDB, especially. I need to find out exactly what the agreement was with those. My very vague recollection is that those were free "lifetime" accounts given to people when they opened an NDB account, whether they funded the account or not. I haven't decided yet what I'm going to do with those accounts.

Okay, I've decided. There are only 920 such accounts, only 10 of which have posted this month. They'll remain Lifetime accounts.

Anyone, if you're seeing a Status code I didn't cover above, let me know and I'll figure out what the deal is with it.

Summary:

VFO, VFM, VFC, VFD: Paid or grandfathered lifetime account. Your money's no good here.

SFO, SFM, SFC, SFD: Terminated account.

CMP: Free lifetime. No need to purchase a lifetime account.

NDB: Free lifetime

SIX: You bought a 6-month account more than 6 months ago and I expired it yesterday. You need to purchase a Lifetime subscription now for $199.95 or wait until the beginning of August to buy renewable accounts (lifetime will no longer be available then). The pricing will be $12.95 Monthly, $69.95 Semi-Annually and $129.95 Annually. Making a Lifetime account very much of a bargain.

VF: You've registered but haven't subscribed. You'll need to subscribe if you want to post, use PM's, read messages 10 at a time, etc. Again, you should jump on the Lifetime subscription while it remains available.
