Kerry has all the spine he needs. No problem. And yes Lieberman and Gephardt's unqualified support for the war hurts them now. Kerry said it right, instead of just being anti-war, he said "Yes OK but I will hold Bush's feet to the fire to make sure he puts together the largest possible coalition first". Bush didn't. He rushed into war. Kerry was then the first to take Bush on calling for "regime change in DC". Some GOP pundits said Kerry had just commited political suicide, but instead, it made him the leader.
