Can you double click on "My computer". Right click on the CD and select explore, and then double click on the files?

When I open "My Computer", I don't have an CD icon. So then I opened "Control Panel" and tried to use the "Disc Detector" to find the CD but to no avail.

Alternativly can you go to the Start menu then click on Programs, find Adobe Acrobat reader and then in acrobat click on File, Open, and then browse to the location of the CD's files?

No, I was unable to find the program on the disc. I don't think my PC is getting anything off the CD.

Its possible that they are password protected PDFs, or that they use Adobe's E-book format.

That could be it. Something is definitely wrong......I am missing something. When I'm playing an audio CD or even a game CD or loading a program, typically the CD does something once its in the tower......sends a message with instructions to my monitor or starts playing music or shows the game to be played. With this new CD, nada happens. I hear my PC reading it and then nothing.

I guess I will ask the sender what he does to read the info on the CD.

Thanks for your help.
