side effects.....a very good point. he never talks about the side effects of the fed's tools to fight deflation (or inflation). If the fed continues dropping rates and then has to dip into their bag of tricks that they keep referring to, I believe it will spook the market. Though those other tools exist, they have side effects too. They may have them, but the side effects will limit their use.
