Something of a competitive threat to Perlegen's business. Regarding the Roche partnership, that just hit a speedbump. FDA wants Roche Diagnostics to explain why the AmpliChip is not a medical device requiring FDA clearance (thanks to Pictheace on the Yahoo! IGEN board for the find):

I agree with Bernard that AFFX could easily go into the teens. I still hold it as a short in my SI short portfolio (but not in real life -- VXGN looked even better<G>). To its credit, AFFX has not warned, so I'd say it all depends on the guidance.
