There you go again equating a rather innocuous term with a truly vile one. BTW, you throw the N word around a lot. I hope you're a black person. It's very unseemly when non-blacks say it.

Let's review the etymology of the term. The term was coined by Taki Theodoracopulos, who wrote the "Eurotrash" column in The East Side Express in the early 80s. Taki is a Greek shipping heir and renowned international playboy. He got busted for major quantity of cocaine sometime in the 80s. He now writes for and helps underwrite Pat Buchanan's magazine. Even though he's quite conservative these days, he still lives the good life in all the jet set clubs. The term hasn't deviated much from its original intent. It's a perfect descriptor for a certain attitude and style.
